Crumble is my absolute favourite dessert to make in the colder months. So comforting, sooo easy to make and a great way to get an extra dose of nutrients after dinner! This dish is coulourful (high in flavonoids which is great for your skin and can help lower bad cholesterol), high in fiber and you don't need to add sugar as the fruit provides enough sweetness. I've used Apples and Raspberries but you can be creative using the fruits you love. The yogurt helps with your digestive health.

Serves 6

4 organic apples, cut into cubes
1 punnet organic raspberries
1/4 cup orange/apple juice (I use Greenwood’s)
1 cup organic rolled oats
5 medjool dates
1/2 cup cocao
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup macadamias or walnuts
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp coconut oil
greek or coconut yogurt to serve

Preheat the oven to 160°C.
To make the crumble topping, add rolled oats, shredded coconut, half of the nuts, cocao, dates, cinnamon, maple syrup and coconut oil to a food processor. Process until combined, it should stick together. Roughly chop the remaining macadamias and add to the crumble mix. Place chopped apple in a medium-sized ovenproof dish and pour orange/apple juice over apples (I use Greenwood’s juice). Spoon the crumble mixture over the apple and place the dish on a large baking tray. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crumble topping is golden and apples are soft.
Serve with Greek or coconut yogurt.
