On the topic of wedding dresses there is one name on the North Shore that is sure to come up. For over thirty years, Peter Trends Bridal on the Pacific Highway in Roseville has created the perfect bridal gown for multiple generations of Sydney women.

Creators Peter and Elvie on their own wedding day

Owners Peter and Elvie began designing bridal millinery from their home in 1969. In the 1980s, they bought the Pacific Highway shopfront which is now, along with the nearby Roseville Cinema, such a well-known local fixture.

A shop is more than just brick and mortar and is also made up of the faces and personalities that local customers get to know and trust, and keep coming back to see.

Recently Peter Trends lost one of its most iconic staff members in the wonderful Anna Zampa, who sadly passed away in February.

Anna had been creating, altering, and fitting wedding gowns at Peter Trends for over twenty years. In this time she often served two generations from the same family. Peter and Elvie’s daughters, Monique and Paulein, say that Anna was like a mother to everyone; brides loved her and her laughter filled the store. Her beautiful warmth and skilled hand could make even the most self-conscious bride-to-be feel fabulous.

At Peter Trends, Monique and Paulein of course continue to create stunning bridal gowns for North Shore women. But they and the local community will forever miss the lovely Anna Zampa, who positively impacted so many families during that special moment in their lives.
