Fashion week is always brimming with fresh faces and beauty inspiration, and this year was no exception.

The glowing skin as shown above. This look is best achieved by massaging a generous amount of moisturiser on the face prior to starting your makeup. Add some colour to the cheeks by dabbing your favourite peach lipstick on your fingertips and patting on the apples of the cheeks.

The pastel eyes. Pastels are often overlooked in the makeup world, but paired with a soft lip and great mascara they can give a great lift to the face. Try a wash of lavender or pastel pink instead of your usual brown or taupe and watch the compliments roll in.

The bold red lip. We saw a lot of runways with very clean skin and a true red lipstick. The key to this look is not putting too much on the rest of the face – think cream blush and light foundation. Heavy eyes need not apply.

The smoky bronze eye with a nude lip. This classic has been updated for the runway with a bold smudge of colour under the lower lashes. Start with a strong bronze shadow and sweep across your eyelids and into the crease. Smudge the same shade under your lower lash line and add plenty of mascara. Pro tip: blend your eyeshadow down as far as your natural lashes go, it will automatically create the most flattering shape on your eyes.

The minimalist. think of this as ‘the anti instagram’ makeup. After many years of heavy brows and strong contouring, fresh faced makeup is back. The key to this look is keeping the same shade ( preferable pale nude) through the eye shadow, the blush and the lipstick. Add some mascara and brush your brows, and you’re ready to go.
