Inspire SeriesI’ll train in the backyard and the kids will join in. My husband also exercises and together the five of us love all the sports we play and watch together!8. CAN YOU SHARE SOME HEALTHY DAILY TIPS/ ROUTINES?I try to be active once a day. The children swim, play tennis, do ballet, jujitsu and gymnastics during the week. It certainly makes life full but we meet amazing new friends and the children realise how incredible their bodies are.9. HOW DID YOU MEETYOUR HUSBAND?We met at the 2004 Athens Olympics, literally in the village, in the computer block. There was one spare seat and it happened to be next to him. Meant tobe. Thomas has been to four Olympics and captained the Men’s Water Polo team. I say the greatest blessing that came from swimming was meeting him! I married my best friend and 8 years on we’ve created a family. It’s not your normal“Wwe met at the pub” story but it’s special to us and always a reminder of how powerful an Olympics can be.10. HOW DO YOU BALANCE WORK, AND BEING A WIFE AND MUM? Does anyone ever really balance? I sit down and prioritise what’s important. I wake up every day choosing to be happy and know when it’s time to stop, breathe and take some time out. I truly30 LIVING LOCAL SPRING 2016...
